AUSTRALIA DISAPPOINTED WITH WORLD CUP BID RESULT
Australia seem to be pretty disappointed with the result of the World Cup bidding and recently a commentator expressed his anger over the decision. Murray, also a member of FIFA's ethics committee, said Qatar had the weakest technical reports of all the bidding nations for 2022, but still won the vote 14-8.
He said FIFA was "in big trouble" for voting for the oil-and gas-rich nation as the host of 2022 World Cup.
"As a private individual I'm convinced there was collusion," Murray told The Australian newspaper on Wednesday. "Nobody will believe that Qatar won this process legitimately. People will continue to probe away asking questions and looking for answers." The English and USA Football bid teams are similarly unimpressed.
