Australia are able to pick up a handsome 3-0 victory over Kuwait in their attempts to the World Cup 2022. Aaron Mooy turned out to be a crucial player for the team in this match and he came up with his sixth international goal. The midfielder is seen as a crucial member of the team considering the departure of many experienced heads in recent times. The likes of Mile Jedinak and Tim Cahill have retired from international duty while Tom Rogic and a few other crucial players are unavailable due to long-term injuries. As a result, Graham Arnold has madeMooy one of the important members in the team and the 29-year-old has not disappointed so far.

Mooy was able to offer a sizeable contribution when Australia played against Kuwait in the latest international break. After recently missing the Asian Cup due to a knee injury,Mooy made his comeback to the team in the bestpossible fashion. Even though Australia were behind in terms of attacking decisiveness during the Asian Cup, they were able to wrap up the game against Kuwait in the first half.Mooy came up with a delightful delivery to help Matthew Leckie score and this was followed by his first goal in three years for the national team.

After the game, Graham Arnold admitted that the presence ofMooy made all the difference."Aaron's a joy to coach.I said to him before the (Kuwait) game 'Aaron Mooy touches the ball 60 times in the opponent's half, we're creating a lot of opportunities and scoring goals, we'll be controlling the game' because he's such a wonderful player.I love every minute being with him because he's a real funny kid. He's great," said Mooy. The Huddersfield Town midfielder will be hoping to deliver the goods once again when Australia and Nepal take on each other on Thursday.
