Australia’s national team coach Ange Postecoglou says that he has only seen promising signs from the team in the last few months.

After the disastrous regime in recent seasons, Australia went down the route of an experienced personnel.Postecoglou has already been in charge of some major competitions like the World Cup 2014, but Australia are yet to make a serious impact like they did under Guus Hiddink. Many doubt if those glory days will return to the national team, butPostecoglou remains confident of the same. He has brought some positive changes to the team that is going to make a huge impact in the near future.

A small teaser of the progress came in the 3-0 win over Kyrgyzstan. Apart from the 2-0 loss against Jordan, Australia have been in imperious form of late. The form is only likely to continue with the Australians up against the likes of Bangladesh in the next games.Postecoglou says that he is happy with the performance he has seen from his employees. Even though the score had a comfortable look,Postecoglou believes that more could have been extracted. The difficult task of qualifying for the World Cup 2018 has not become any easy following this win.

Australia still remain in the second spot behind Jordan."Right from the kick-off we were very dominant, which we set out to be.I'd prefer we won 10-0, which we should have. But when you look at the number of chances we created, the way we played our football, where we played our football, I was very happy. We've worked really hard the last 12 to 18 months to create depth, and we're getting it.We're getting to a really good space, and over the next few months I'll expect more depth to develop," said Postecoglou.
