Liverpool are considering a sensational deal for PSG star Kylian Mbappe this summer. The Frenchman was previously linked with a move to anfield but the deal didn’t eventually happen. Last year Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was asked why he had no French players in his team.

The German replied that France has a list of top talents playing for top clubs across the continent. He mentioned Mbappe, Antoine Griezmann and Ousmane Dembele among the players he would like to work with. But he revealed that Mbappe is a special talent and he will like his club to have top players. He did actually reveal that the financial implication of a deal for Mbappe might be too much for the club.

However, The Sun is claiming a move for the PSG man might be inevitable as Sadio Mane is refusing to extend his deal at Anfield. Mane, who is attracting interest from the likes of Real Madrid and PSG, has refused to sign a contract extension with the Anfield side.

Thee report insists that Liverpool will offer Mane and cash to lure Mbappe from the Ligue 1. They add that this is a play Liverpool are hoping to make next summer as this summer market would be heavily influenced by Covid-19 financial uncertainty. It looks like a solid play if PSG would take it as they are also fond of the Senegal international.

Since Mane joined from Southampton he has been very impressive, stepping up when Philippe Coutinho exited and joining Roberto Firmino and Mo Salah to form a solid trident that has delivered titles. There are reports that Real Madrid is the target for Mane but with the number of wingers at the Bernabeu it remains to be seen how that will happen. Barcelona, Juventus and other top sides are also keen on Mane.

Meanwhile, Harry Kiwell has stated that the club should do all they can to tie Mane to a new deal. The former Australia international has declared that it will be difficult for his old side to replace a player as big as Mane.
